MoDOT would like to thank everyone who participated in the comment and review period for the Draft FTEIS.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Study Team is preparing responses to the comments received on the Draft (FTEIS). The responses will be included in the Final FTEIS along with discussion of any changes or refinements to the Draft FTEIS and the Preferred Strategy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;MoDOT anticipates that the Final FTEIS will be available for review by the end of 2010.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Although the comment period is closed, MoDOT remains interested in hearing additional ideas on potential improvements along I-70. In the Future I-70 Study, MoDOT has studied ways to improve an 18-mile stretch of the I-70 corridor in Jackson County, including the downtown freeway loop.  The goals are to enhance safety, reduce congestion, improve infrastructure and accessibility, and enhance goods movement. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Draft FTEIS proposed the identified preferred strategy for making improvement to I-70 that will meet current and future needs within the corridor.
